On Thursday evening in New Delhi, the winners of the 69th annual National Film Awards were revealed, revealing an intriguing group of nominees. The Press Information Bureau broadcast the award presentations live on its Facebook and YouTube pages. Notably, Alia Bhatt received the Best Actress prize for her work in "Gangubai Kathiawadi," and Kriti Sanon was as deserving of the honor after winning it for her work in "Mimi." In addition to the honors, Allu Arjun received the coveted Best Actor award for his amazing performance in "Pushpa."

It is impossible to overstate the importance of this award presentation, a high point in India's film industry. The event had been delayed by the Covid-19 epidemic for a period of two years. The resurgence of the in the previous year was 

post-pandemic honors for top movies released in 2020. The competition for these prestigious awards this year featured a wide range of films, including "Jai Bhim," "Minnal Murali," "Thalaivii," "Sardar Udham," "83," "Pushpa: The Rise," "Shershaah," "The Great Indian Kitchen," "Gangubai Kathiawadi," "RRR," "Thalaivi," "Rocketry: The Nambi Effect," and many others.

28 different languages' worth of films totaling an amazing 280 were submitted for the 2021 awards. There were 24 non-feature film categories, 31 categories for feature films, and 3 categories for script writing for movies in the competition. "The Kashmir Files" won the Nargis Dutt Award for Best Film on National Integration, and "RRR" was named Best Popular Film Offering Wholesome Entertainment.

Ajay Devgn and Suriya won the Best Actor prize at the 68th National Film Awards the year before for their remarkable performances in the films "Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior" and "Soororai Pottru," respectively. The Best Actress prize went to Suriya's co-star Aparna Balamurali, who deservedly deservingly won it. "Soororai Pottru" also received the esteemed National Award for Best Feature Film.
